Talkative IRC was made to accomodate the new internet users need for a stable and easy to use chat client. The IRC network is not a meetingplace for only the advanced users anymore.

Why IRC?

IRC is an old and established network(s) of servers to facilitate easy text chat between internet users worldwide. The network has channels (rooms) for a wide variety of interests. You can always find one or more channels (rooms) to match your interests! Creating a new channel (room) is free and available for anyone. This is something you could do for your family or group of friends.

Why Talkative?

Mainly because it's secure, stable and easy to use. Another benefit worth mentioning is the price. Talkative IRC is Freeware, which means it won't cost you a dime.

I'm very proud of Talkative IRCs open development form. I've done the basics, and hope other will contibute with suggestions of features they (you) would like to see in the next version.

The suggestion form is a very straight forward form that you can fill in either from the suggestions page, or from within Talkative IRC itself (Help-menu, then click Suggest).

Is it really free?

Yup, it's free. There is not even adware/spyware bundled with it :) Talkative IRC will probably go commercial after the beta testing, but people who submit good feature requests will get a free license (remember to tell me your e-mail address on the suggestion form). By good feature request I mean a suggestion that might benefit more than one person (preferably even more). Even though the feature might not be implemented, you are still eligible to a full version after the beta if the suggestions meets the required standard.
